Kris Phipps is a filmmaker and founder of the acclaimed genre label, Garth Manor.

His award-winning shorts, including The Dark Walk Backward (2011) Sticks (2015), Death Metal (2016), We Summoned a Demon (2018), Guts (2021), and Skeeter (2024) along with the feature anthology Scare Package, have screened at top genre festivals including SXSW, Fantastic Fest, Fantasia, and Sitges, collecting over 90 awards and a Fangoria Chainsaw Award nomination.

His work favors tactile effects, vintage lenses, strange frequencies, and the eerie glow of midnight movies.

Beyond genre filmmaking, he has served as an art department supervisor and project manager on branded content for clients such as Borden, Auntie Anne's, Allegiant, One Block South, and Shock the Vote.
